So, VW has some really good financing deals right now. I figured I would take advantage of it. Just picked up a 19 Sportwagen 1.8T 4motion. My first German since my E30 many moons ago

We need to replace (well, complement) our 2003 Odyssey. I still love driving it, but it’s getting long in the tooth. I’m thinking now might be a great time to do that. Maybe use my check from Uncle Sugar as part of a down payment.

As someone who got the family minivan and a hand-me-down as teenager, I’ll speak up for your kids and say that any car is definitely better than none, so you’ll definitely want that Ody around for them to drive. Though I’ll also say that a Previa is way cooler than an Odyssey (also way more likely to kill front seat passengers in a crash).

This seems like a sweet deal, just hopped on the VW configurator. $25k for a 6 Speed AWD wagon? I didn’t think such a thing existed. And isn’ t there tons of aftermarket support for the 1.8T to nearly double its measly 168hp?

Yup, went with the DSG so my wife can drive it too.
Visibility out of the car is great. Better than my old 15 Civic. I certainly missed having a car with actual gears unlike my former CVT.

I actually contacted an APR installer before I even picked up the car. Lol
Probably will stay with the stage 1 + for the warranty coverage, provided I can get it in writing.

I’ve done stage one and DCT tunes on both my GTIs and couldn’t be happier. I have genuinely never heard of anyone having issues with them, and they add tons of usable power.

We bought ours for visibility (and puppy hauling). DSG for my wife as well.
I may be biased, but I think you made a good choice!
